These heavy oil storage tanks in Teesside were corroding badly around the annular ring/ external apron. They needed immediate attention to protect them against further corrosion and the possibility of the tank leaking oil into the bund.

The steel tank base and concrete apron was sandblasted clean and keyed to take the fibreglass application.

The steel wall of the tanks and concrete aprons were sandblasted to clean & key, ready to take the fibreglass application.

The fibreglass lining was applied up the tank base and encapsulates the concrete plinth to ensure rainwater run off.

We applied our reconstructive fibreglass lining system up the tank wall and across the concrete plinth to ensure complete rainwater run off.

This full proof and long term system was applied to both tanks in this oil bund in Middlesbrough.
